The Taconic hybrid PCB multilayer stackup integrates high-performance, low-loss materials with structural FR-4 layers to deliver superior thermal and electrical stability. By utilizing this mixed-dielectric configuration, RF engineers can place expensive, low-loss Taconic laminates exclusively where high-frequency signals require low dissipation factors, utilizing cost-effective materials for the remaining layers. This precise material integration allows product developers and procurement managers to balance strict signal integrity requirements with commercial project budgets.

  • Mixed-Dielectric Integration: Combines Taconic PTFE/ceramic laminates (such as TLX, TLY, or RF series) with standard high-$T_g$ FR-4 or polyimide cores.
