PCB Fabrication & Assembly File Requirements
To give you an accurate quote and avoid production delays, please send your files in the formats below. If you’re unsure whether your files are complete, send what you have — our engineers will review them and let you know if anything is missing before we proceed.
For PCB Fabrication
We accept PCB design files in any of the following formats:
- Gerber RS-274X (preferred — this is the industry standard and gives us the cleanest handoff to production)
- *.PCB / *.DDB (Altium / Protel — please specify your software version so we open the file correctly)
- *.BRD (Eagle)
If you work in a different CAD tool (KiCad, OrCAD, Allegro, etc.), contact us first — we can usually accommodate it.
For PCB Assembly
Please include all of the following so we can quote assembly accurately:
- PCB design file (any format listed above)
- Drilling file (NC Drill / Excellon)
- Pick-and-place file (centroid / XY coordinates) — recommended for SMT assembly
- Bill of Materials (BOM) — [download our BOM template here] to make sure nothing is missed
A complete BOM (with manufacturer part numbers, reference designators, and quantities) helps us source components faster and lock in pricing.
How to submit
Please compress all files into a single .zip or .rar archive before uploading. This keeps your submission organized and ensures nothing is lost in transfer. Files up to [5 MB] can be uploaded through the form; for larger packages, email them directly to Sales@PCBSync.com.
Your design data is confidential
We treat every file you send as proprietary. Access is limited to the engineers working on your project, and we’re happy to sign an NDA before you share anything sensitive — just let us know.
