Electronic Components Sourcing

Sourcing high-quality electronic components is essential to create quality products for your brand. Choosing the right parts ensures that your products are functional and useful for end users.

Our prototype runs are often a mix of large BGAs and tiny 0201 components, and we’ve had issues with other assembers on yield. PCBsync’s assembly team delivered a perfect first-run success. The board was pristine, the solder joints were impeccable under the microscope, and everything worked straight out of the box. Their attention to detail in the assembly process saved us weeks of debug time. They are now our go-to for critical prototype assembly.

Scaling from hundreds to tens of thousands of units for our smart home device presented huge supply chain and manufacturing challenges. PCBsync’s full electronic manufacturing service was the solution. They didn’t just build the PCB; they managed the entire box-build, sourced all components (even during shortages), and implemented a rigorous quality control system that drastically reduced our field failure rate. They act as a true extension of our own production team.

XC7VX1140T-G2FLG1928E: Xilinx Virtex-7 XT SSI FPGA, 1.14M Cells, 13.1 Gb/s GTH

Product Details

The XC7VX1140T-G2FLG1928E is a flagship Virtex-7 XT FPGA from Xilinx (now AMD), engineered around Stacked Silicon Interconnect (SSI) technology to deliver the highest logic density and transceiver throughput in the Virtex-7 family. Manufactured on TSMC’s 28 nm high-performance, low-power (HPL) HKMG process, this device cuts static power by roughly 50% versus 40 nm predecessors while doubling overall performance — a perfect balance for designers who need ASIC-class capability in a fully programmable platform.

What makes the XC7VX1140T-G2FLG1928E distinct from its siblings is the -2G speed grade. The “G2” suffix is exclusive to SSI-based devices and unlocks the full transceiver performance of the silicon: up to 13.1 Gb/s GTH (and 12.5 Gb/s GTX) line rates, in addition to all the standard -2 timing specifications. As a result, you get headline serial bandwidth without sacrificing core fabric speed — a feature that directly benefits 100G/400G line cards, OTN muxponders, CPRI radio heads, and high-throughput ASIC emulation.

Inside the package you’ll find 1,139,200 logic cells, roughly 67 Mb of block RAM, and 3,360 DSP48E1 slices — enough horsepower for parallel FFTs, beamforming, and AI/ML inference acceleration. The 1928-ball FCBGA delivers 480 user I/Os with full SelectIO support for DDR3 up to 1,866 Mb/s, plus integrated PCIe Gen3 ×8 hard blocks and 100G Ethernet MAC IP. Combined with dual 12-bit XADC analog inputs, the device handles mixed-signal and high-speed digital workloads in one chip.

The “E” suffix denotes the expanded (extended) commercial temperature range, with a junction temperature of 0 °C to 100 °C and VCCINT tightly regulated at 0.97 V – 1.03 V. The XC7VX1140T-G2FLG1928E is RoHS-compliant, supplied in tray packaging, and fully supported by the Vivado Design Suite for synthesis, place-and-route, debug, and bitstream generation.

Whether you are building a wireline backbone router, a software-defined radio chassis, an ASIC prototyping rig, or a medical imaging platform, this part offers a future-proof upgrade path. We supply genuine, traceable Xilinx FPGA inventory with verified date codes, X-ray inspection on request, and short lead times for both prototype and production volumes.

G2 vs L2 vs Standard -2 — Which Suffix Do You Need?

Suffix Meaning Best For
-2G SSI-enabled, full 13.1 Gb/s GTH High-speed serial designs (100G/400G)
-2L Low-VCCINT (1.0 V), low static power Battery-backed or thermally limited systems
-2 Standard performance binning General-purpose high-end designs

The -2G option is the right choice when you need both maximum logic density and maximum transceiver line rate in one device.
