Drag & Drop Files, Choose Files to Upload You can upload up to 3 files.

Notes:
For PCB fabrication, we require PCB design file in Gerber RS-274X format (most preferred), *.PCB/DDB (Protel, inform your program version) format or *.BRD (Eagle) format. For PCB assembly, we require PCB design file in above mentioned format, drilling file and BOM. Click to download BOM template To avoid file missing, please include all files into one folder and compress it into .zip or .rar format.

Electronic Components Sourcing

Sourcing high-quality electronic components is essential to create quality products for your brand. Choosing the right parts ensures that your products are functional and useful for end users.

Our prototype runs are often a mix of large BGAs and tiny 0201 components, and we’ve had issues with other assembers on yield. PCBsync’s assembly team delivered a perfect first-run success. The board was pristine, the solder joints were impeccable under the microscope, and everything worked straight out of the box. Their attention to detail in the assembly process saved us weeks of debug time. They are now our go-to for critical prototype assembly.

Scaling from hundreds to tens of thousands of units for our smart home device presented huge supply chain and manufacturing challenges. PCBsync’s full electronic manufacturing service was the solution. They didn’t just build the PCB; they managed the entire box-build, sourced all components (even during shortages), and implemented a rigorous quality control system that drastically reduced our field failure rate. They act as a true extension of our own production team.

Rogers RT/duroid 5880 High-Frequency PTFE Laminate | 0.508mm (20 mil) | 1 oz/ft² Copper Cladding

Product Details

RT/duroid® 5880 High-Frequency PTFE Laminate (0.508mm / 20 mil, 1 oz/ft² Copper Cladding) is a premium glass microfiber-reinforced PTFE substrate engineered for demanding high-frequency and microwave circuit applications where signal integrity and dimensional stability are critical.

Key Features & Specifications:

  • Dielectric Constant (Dk): 2.20 ± 0.02 — exceptionally low and stable across a wide frequency range (1 GHz to 40 GHz+), minimizing signal dispersion in high-speed designs
  • Dissipation Factor (Df): 0.0009 at 10 GHz — among the lowest loss tangents available for commercial microwave laminates, ideal for low-noise and low-insertion-loss circuits
  • Thickness: 0.508mm (20 mil) with tight tolerance control, ensuring consistent impedance across production runs
  • Copper Cladding: 1 oz/ft² (35 µm) electrodeposited or rolled copper, suitable for fine-line etching and controlled impedance stripline/microstrip structures
  • Thermal Stability: Low Z-axis CTE and excellent thermal performance, supporting reliable operation across wide temperature cycling environments

Applications & Industries:

RT/duroid® 5880 laminate is widely used in high-frequency circuit boards operating at millimeter-wave and microwave frequencies. Typical applications include patch antennas, phased array antenna feeds, radar front-end modules, satellite communication (SATCOM) subsystems, power amplifier boards, LNA (low-noise amplifier) circuits, automotive radar (77 GHz ADAS systems), and aerospace avionics electronics. It is also suitable for test and measurement equipment, point-to-point wireless links, and high-frequency filter networks where low dielectric loss and phase stability are essential.

OEM / ODM Support:

PCBSYNC offers full OEM and ODM manufacturing services for RT/duroid® 5880-based PCBs. Custom stack-ups, controlled impedance fabrication, back-drilling, blind/buried via structures, and mixed-material laminate constructions are all available. Engineering support for Dk-verified impedance modeling and design-for-manufacturability (DFM) review is included for qualified orders.

Certifications:

PCBs fabricated on this laminate are produced in compliance with IPC-6012 Class 2/3 standards. Manufacturing processes are ISO 9001:2015 certified, and products are available with RoHS-compliant surface finishes including ENIG, HASL (lead-free), and immersion silver.

PCBSYNC is a professional PCB fabrication, PCBA, and EMS manufacturer delivering precision-built electronics for aerospace, medical, automotive, industrial, and smart energy applications.
